Hello Miro,

Here you can find Software Entitlement on the Cisco ASR 9000 Series Router

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/asr9000/software/asr9k_r4.2/system_management/configuration/guide/b_sysman_cg42asr9k_chapter_0101.html

you’d need to allocate a license to a slot you need.

For example:

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(admin-config)# license A9K-AIP-LIC-B location 0/0/CPU0

Regards,

Alex.

I have the same problem on asr 9001. A can't activate license regardless of the location.

Hi Nenad,

This license is related to L3VPN functionality. Have you configured any L3VPN and associated any interface from desired location with that L3VPN VRF ?

I have seen this on ASR-9010; until you create an L3VPN VRF and associate a physical interface or a sub-interface to that VRF, the license doesn't move from available to allocated/active.

Please try and let us know if this helps

Br,

Anand

Hi anandbhalla,

thanks for reply, yes this license is related to L3VPN. I didn't configure because I though I need to activate license first. As soon as I try I'll get back result.

Regars,

Nenad

Anandbhalla,

you where right, I configured L3VPN and now license is active.
