Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if ASR 9K can support ipv4 NAT just like ISR G2? Does ASR 9K just support the CGN with the ISM modules?

Hi,
NAT is an abuse of language, it actually means NAPT (so PAT) in this case.
Yes, you need at least an ISM module or the new VSM module to be able to perform address and port translation in 9006 and 9010.
Please note that 9001 doesn't support these cards and therefor can not perform NAPT.
Hope it answers your questions,
BR,
N.

Hi,
all stateful translation mechanisms (like NAG44) will require an ISM or VSM card in ASR9000.
Cheers,

Hi Nicolas,
The ASR9K is deployed just inside the company like 3925. Does it still need the module to implement the PAT between the internet and the intranet
