has anyone verified or tried this? i'm working a case and it just will not establish the neighborship.
using bgp and it's in a vrf (should be irrelevant)
the bgp neighborship comes up - the bfd neighborship does not.
thanks in advance!

It's difficult to help with so little information. Can you include the "sh bfd session detail destination" from asr9k and the equivalent from NXOS?
On the asr9k side you have to configure the LC slots that are eligible to host the multi-hop BFD session. Please check this article: https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/144626/bfd-support-cisco-asr9000 for more.

thanks Alexsander
you're right not enough infor
the 2 devices back-to-back vpns with bfd timers in the vrf interaces and bfg in the vrf family totally worked. bgp came up as wenn show bfd neighbors came up.
when i inserted 2 nexus 9ks in between the nk9 and ask9k bgp came us bfd did not.
it was all done in calo and the tore it down before i got all the configs
