SPA2102 firmware 5.2.13 update error

The firmware update upg-spa2102-5-2-13.exe doesn't work.

Error: Run-Time Check Failure #2 - Stack around the variable 'strNc' was corrupted.

Solution:

You have to remove (blank) the admin and user password before starting the update. Put them back after.

Only firmware 5.2.13 is affected.

You can try a provisioning update method.

Enable a web server or tftp server on your PC (e.g. 3C Daemon), put the firmware file in the server directory and use one of these urls in your browser:

http://SPA_IP_ADDRESS/admin/upgrade?http://YOUR_WEB_SERVER_IP/SPA_FIRWARE.bin

or

http://SPA_IP_ADDRESS/admin/upgrade?tftp://YOUR_TFTP_SERVER_IP/SPA_FIRWARE.bin
