SPA8800 Valcom

We were recommended to use a SPA8800 with an older valcom paging system we have.  We currently run call manager 7.x.  I believe the SPA8800 is a SIP device.  Should the SPA8800 work for this?

Most of the Valcom paging controllers connect to loop-start trunk ports, so using an FXO port on the SPA8800 should work fine.

Without knowing the model, it is difficult to say for sure.  You can contact Valcom Tech Support at 800-VALCOM1 (800-825-2661) for more specific information.

I contacted Valcom Support and they say as long as it has FXO ports there should not be any problem.

I see where Valcom has step by step instructions for Call Manager with a Cisco Router and FXO card.  Would the SPA8800 be configured with Call Manager as a H323 or MGCP Gateway like the Cisco Router?.
