I had to update/create a new server to update the firmware on the Cisco Business Dashboard. This time, I plan to use a Wildcard Certificate instead of Self-Sign Certificate and was wondering if this would have an effect on the devices linked to the Dashboard?
My first time creating a server so please bare with me.

Yes, the latest version of Cisco Business Dashboard (CBD) 2.9.0 does support wildcard certificates.
If you plan to set up a new CBD server to replace an existing one that has devices connected, please follow these steps:
1.Install the New CBD Server: Set up the new server with the latest CBD version.
2.Backup the Old Server: Create a backup of your current CBD server to preserve all device settings and configurations.
3.Shutdown the Old Server: Turn off the existing CBD server to ensure that no IP conflicts arise when you restore your data to the new server.
4.Restore Data to the New Server: Use the backup file to restore your settings on the new CBD server. If your server was created from a CBD virtual machine image, the IP address should restore automatically. If not, you will need to manually configure the server's IP address to be same as the old server.
5.Reconnect Devices: Once the new server is set up, all previously connected devices should automatically reconnect.
6.Upload the Wildcard Certificate: Navigate to the System > Certificate page and upload your wildcard certificate. This will automatically install the new certificate on all connected devices, ensuring continued secure connections to the CBD.

Thank you so much! We have a Single Sign on Cert but was planning to use Wild-Card and wanted to avoid any issues.
