The Cisco Support Community staff descend on Cisco Live Las Vegas 2011. Our team of six, decked out in Cisco gear, navigate the World of Solutions floor with laser focus to find our two booths. After circling numerous times, we stumbled upon the goal and find our Cisco Support Community and Cisco Designated VIP booths. We huddle to talk pre-show strategy. After finalizing our game plan, it’s time to swing by the Business Center to pick up our secret weapon. What successful booth at Cisco Live flies without chachkies? Time to lug the boxes of Cisco Support Community pens back to the booths. We aren’t done yet though. To ensure we lure everyone, we also came ready to raffle off an iPad and Cisco press books. No Cisco Live enthusiast can resist us now.

The show opens Monday night with a welcome reception. Libations and food for everyone. Guests jump from booth to booth holding paper plates stacked with food to talk anything and everything about Cisco. As the reception ends, we look at our overflowing jar of business cards for the raffle. It was a good start to the evening.

It was then time to head out to our Cisco Designated VIP dinner at the Mix at Mandalay Bay. We make our way to the top floor of the hotel. At Cisco Live, we had 10 CSC, 5 CLN, and 1 CDN Cisco Designated VIP in attendance. Jeanne Dunn, VP of Cisco @ Learning gives a toast to all the Cisco Designated VIPs in attendance. It was a fantastic night of chat about Communities at Cisco and an opportunity to meet fellow Cisco Designated VIPs in person. After a great meal we raffle off an iPad for the VIPs in attendance. Tommer Catlin wins (lucky guy). We hope those in attendance enjoyed the evening of food and talk as much as we did.

In the days following, we continue spreading the CSC word. All-in-all, it was a great show. We got an opportunity to meet many of you, our users and gather feedback on the community. We also truly enjoyed connecting with our Cisco Designated VIPs!
