I am syncing sites and devices between Cisco prime and DNA center. I have a particular site map and access points that have migrated over with the exception of one AP. Oddly enough, this AP does show does show up and registered to the wireless controller that is in the DNA

so this joined controller and users able to connect ?

what is model of the AP and WLC controller, what code running WLC and what DNAC Version ?

Take the Serial number and check DNAC ? Take the MAC address of AP and check ?

Dnac=2.3.5.5

Controller= 5520 8.10.190

AP internal 1815 on Cisco ISR C1100

No clients are connected to missing AP

Did the AP  joined controller ?

Other AP joined controller and able to see in DNAC same model ?

i would check if  the AP got DHCP and able to join WLC before i go check in the inventory ?

AP is joined to the correct controller. Other AP's on same site connected to controller and are in map/inventory on DNAC.

Other AP's on same site connected to controller and are in map/inventory on DNAC

All are same model of AP ?

DNAC always rely controller to provide that information AP joined WLC.

Try in DNAC resync with controller.

Try a re-sync of the WLC with DNAC and restart telemerty on the WLC

Did a resync between controller and DNA. No changes. Not sure where to restart telemetry service on 5520 WLC. WLC does show telemetry service enabled and connected to DNAC.

how did you search for this missing access point ?
did you use the looking-glass in the upper right corner to search for the (ethernet) mac address ?
did you check the count of DNA licenses for access points?

Hi everyone, I am suffering from the same issue, the integrated AP ISR-AP1100AC on the C1111 routers are seen on the WLCs but not in DNA Center inventory.
All other APs (non-integrated) are visible like 2800, 9120, etc.
This is happening on different DNAC installations and they are all running version 2.3.5.5-70026.
Was there a solution / answer to this query?

Hi Colin,

The ISR-AP1100AC is not supported on Cisco Catalyst Center 2.3.5.5 or 2.3.5.6. The only supported ISR-AP is the ISR-AP1101AX. Please find the compatibility matrix which states the same:

I've observed this issue multiple times and am currently experiencing it again with a new site deployment.  New 9130AXI factory default deployment, pulls DHCP and gets address, is reachable from network, joins controller WLC C9800CL VM , waited over an hour never showed in unassigned devices, re-syncs of WLC every 15min, and still nothing.  I have seen this issue multiple times at multiple sites CatCtr generally takes 30-45min to see new AP's joined to the controller.  Can't figure out why at this new site with new WLC that the AP joins and CatCtr never sees it therefore, since using fabric wireless completely WLC cannot be fully provisioned until the AP shows in CatCtr inventory.

Very frustrating that these issues have not been addressed.

I'll also add that if you try to move and re-deploy an AP CatCtr process is a giant PIA especially when AP had been on another WLC and it needs to move to a new one, deleting device doesn't work unless the AP is offline which CatCtr seems to see right away, and there is no way to move APs from one site to another without deleting and starting over.  CatCtr then takes over an hour to see the new AP most times.  Takes what is advertised as simple and easy and leaves a giant black whole where you can see no status and are just made to wait until CatCtr catches up before you can finish deploying a site giant pain when doing live site migrations.
