Cat9500 16.11.1 missing "license smart register idtoken"

Hi All

I've got two Cat9500-24Y4C running in a VSS/SSO with IOS 16.11.1. 

I've tried now to register the smart license, as per manual, but I'm failing at the step:

#license smart register idtoken …..

The command "license smart register" is not existing:

9500R-SWV(config)#license smart ?
  custom_id    Set a customer defined id
  privacy      privacy related commands
  reservation  Enable or disable the license reservation feature
  transport    Select the type of message transport for Smart Agent
  url          Set the Smart Transport Primary and the Utility URL
  utility      Enable or disable usage reporting on the device

Any ideas?

Found my error! I tried to execute that command in the configure terminal, but for whatever reason, this one command must be entered on the normal CLI and not in configuration mode.

If you are running DNA-C then you can do all of your SL from the licensing app inside DNAC. No need to do individual tokens on the device CLI.

Not using DNA center, it's a standalone installation with minimal Internet access. But thanks for the tip!

Check the Call home, dns prereqs, etc

I actually solved it already, I didn't realize that I had to enter the last command not in configuration mode.
