DNA Center Maintenance Mode Question

I am running some recently released system updates on my DNA Center and it said it should take about an hour.  It's been over 3 hours now and still only at 77% in Maintenance Mode.  I want to close out of this browser and go home, but I'm not sure if closing it out will corrupt the software.  Any ideas?  I will leave my machine here in a few minutes, but would prefer to take it with me.

Thanks

You can close browser and go home.... it will still run on the appliance

To verify.

  • Close the browser
  • ssh to the Cisco DNA Center and run "maglev system_updater update_info"  and you can see the upgrade continue

The updates run automatically on the background, Closing browser not halt any updates, you can view the dashboard when you back and update the status.

Totally agree with both posts.  Not sure what version you are running, but things have gotten a little quicker with later releases (2.1.2.5/2.1.2.6).  I have seen a 3 node cluster upgrade, to include system software, app downloads/updates, on older releases take 8-10 hours.  If you close the browser, open a new one the next day, and DNAC is still in maintenance mode you will get the DNAC UI login, but after login you will get the maintenance window again.

Thank you to everyone for your replies.  My version is 2.1.2.5.  I literally ran all the updates starting at around 12:30pm and didn't think it would take that long, but yeah, after 4pm I realized I was wrong.  I had to leave before it was finished, but as you all stated, it turned out ok.
