Hi All,
The company I work for provides bespoke computing systems. We have previously been supplying Cisco 2960 series switches which form a very basic network.
PC A connects to Switch A
PC B connects to Switch B
Switch A and Switch B are interlinked.
There has been no monitoring of the 2960 series switches and configuration was/is always performed via the console connection.
As the 2960 series of going End of Life we're looking at the 9200 series as a replacement. We'd have the same setup as above and configuration would continue via the console.
So my question is, do we need to buy licenses such as C9200-DNA-P-24-3 just for simple setups?
From reading online, the DNA licenses seem to be focused on managing equipment remotely so I don't think this applies for our basic setup.
Thanks.

You do not need DNA License if you do not have DNAC.
Essentials License perpetual good enough as per the description.

What is the Essentials License?
Does this come as standard with all Cisco switches?
