When you provision a day-N template, Cat Center will automatically start validating the commands that it pushes. This is called Config Compliance and is pretty popular. This is just one element of compliance that you can run reports on periodically to make sure that all devices are in compliance with config, security advisories, and software versions.
In an upcoming release there will be an ability to monitor compliance without provisioning day-N compliance.
