UCS Backup using SCO

Hello,

I am looking to do automated backup of UCS( full, All, logical etc), using Microsoft SCO? Does anyone use it SCO for automated backup or firmware upgrade etc?

Please provide your feedback, if you have use SCO for backup or firmware updated(interated with scvmm) to perform automated live migration of VM and upgrade one server at time etc. please share your usecase for UCS and SCO.

Backups are quite doable with MSFT SCO.  Really all you need to do is run the backup-ucs PowerTool cmdlet from within SCO.  Doing Firmware upgrades via SCO, albeit doable, is not something I would recommend.  You would need to do a LOT of error checking and handling within SCO that would be difficult IMHO.
