Cisco Jabber for iPhone - Contact List

Hello everyone,

 

Could you help me with a question?

When we use the Jabber for iPhone app, where does the contact list come from?

 

In our environment, we are using Cisco Call Manager version 9.1.2.13900-10 and some iPhone users are using Jabber_for_iOS-14.1.0.306686.

The users with physical phones are able to search the directory on the IP Phone and see the extensions.

But the users from Android and iOS are not able to see a contact list, they can only add contacts manually.

 

Do you have idea on how to troubleshoot this?

Jabber gets the contact list from the IM&P server, and it has to be configured with a directory source if you want to use the search option, review the Jabber documentation on how to configure the directory source for Jabber and then choose which option you want to use, either UDS or EDI
