All,
I have a handful of users that are running Apple Macbook Air Laptops and they are encountering an issue where as soon as the Jabber Video for Telepresence's self view window launches, it causes the software to crash. The affected users are running OS X Lion 10.7.2 on 11" Macbook Air Laptops. Movi 4.1 and 4.2 worked just fine on these laptops, but not the latest version.
I opened up a case with TAC, but have not yet found a solution or workaround other than reverting back to Movi 4.2, which is not ideal.
Anyone run into a similar issue?
Thanks,
Don

Using a MBA 13" with Jabber Video 4.3 and OS X 10.7.3 (and before 10.7.2) and dit not see a problem.
Any other special software which is hooking up to your video/network/... devices?
I would open a TAC case for it.
Martin

I'm having the same issue with my MBpro 15"
Same Exception in the log
Jabber seems to work until it has to access my webcam (isight or PHD USB) - I can dial and everything, but if it tries to connect and use my camera, or I try to do Selfview, Jabber for Video crashes.
To my knowledge, there are no firmware updates I'm missing...
I'm on Lion 10.7.3.
Putting in a TAC case as well.
let us know if you get anywhere

This is also EXACTLY what happens with me..
on either 4.3 or 4.4 with OSX 10.7
I have iChat installed but not running
I have Cisco Jabber for MAC installed but not running
Has this been resolved ?

Resolved a customer case who was running Lion 10.7.3 and when Jabber made a call it crashed on the users MAC Book and would crash trying to detec the camera. Theres a known issue (Not with Jabber) if there is a 3ivx codec running on the MAC that is less than version 5.0.4.
Check after the Exception Type and Exception Codes in your crash report. May see something similar here:
Crashed Thread: 16
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x000000001073d140
VM Regions Near 0x1073d140:

-----------------------------------------
Had my customer upgrade the 3ivx codec to something higher or 5.0.4 and his users were running like a champ afterwards.
I'd check to see if you have this codec running and update it to see it resolves your issue. Worked out for my user, and hopefully for folks here as well.

Updating the 3ivx worked for a customer of mine as well

FYI,
My customer resolved their issue by uninstalling Flip4MAC from their MAC and now Jabber works fine.
Thanks,
Justin
