Cisco TMS 15.4.0 Upgrade

Hello Experts,

I have a client that would like to upgrade its global deployment from Cisco TMS 15.4.0 to TMS 15.9.0, VCSs are at 8.11.4. I guess I would like to know if we can jump safely from 15.4.0 to 15.9.0 with minimum interruption, if they are any gotchas? if the endpoints will need to be upgraded prior and lastly if we can remain in VCS 8.11.4 or if we need to move up. Thanks experts for your time

Hi,

As this is a minor software upgrade from TMS v15.4 to v15.9, I don’t think there will be any issues but I would recommend to check the resolved/open issues in TMS v15.9 release notes to see any issues that could affect your environment.

Before doing upgrade, I would recommend to take a backup of TMS v15.4 and review all section necessary for upgrade from below documents:

I do not find any document related to compatibility of TMS v15.9 and VCS v8.11.4 but below interoperability database URL provides the combability of TMS v15.9 with VCS 12.5. I would suggest to upgrade VCS from 8.11.4 to 12.5 as Cisco has tested these two versions. For other endpoint software interoperability, you can check below interoperability database:
