Can I use cisco Webex Connect with Call Manager Express 8.0.1 on a UC520 or is it just built for the Full Blown call manager?

Bummer!
Anyone know of another Desktop based communications client that integrates with CME. Salesforce has one but it is a little spendy at 100 per user per month.

Hi Dave, sorry to say no current plans to integrate with CME either - the focus is on Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Unified MeetingPlace.

Cisco Call Connector (Server/Client), gives you IM, click to dial, presence, etc. But it's an internal product. It does have some nice features that Connect IM doesn't and good UC integration, but I'm not sure who will win the future battle of the IM clients.....

Any new update to this topic? Would be nice for connect to work with CME, as CME supports
Microsoft Lync 2010 now. Too bad they dont support their own IM.

CME today does not support webex connect integration. We are looking to support it in our future release but it is not committed yet. Please use Unified Call Connector for IM, presence and desktop integration

Is this still the case?
Whom can we speak to to get this addressed?

Chris
Webex connect is now evolved to Jabber ( one windows client) and support for Jabber on CME is still in the roadmap.
Will update this thread once i have some clarity around dates.
Thanks
Mili

My understanding is the Windows client is not available and will not be until spring 2012. So willthere be no CME support until that time?
As for the Mac Jabber client, is it compatable with CME now?

Does Cisco offer any type of Demo Program for equipment? I remeber my rep mentioning a while ago but I can not find any information now. Anybody know?
