Get Jabber self-presence from a Windows Application

We are attempting to integrate with Cisco Jabber with a Windows application/server.   Our goal is to obtain the presence of the current user.     The  Jabber SDK is web only option.   We have explored using XMPP client libraries and are unable to authorize due to the organization using SSO via SAML.    What options are available to obtain the presence status of the user?
