Hi Christina,

can you do the following for me and let me know how it goes.

On Gateway remove the following.
ccm-manager config server 192.168.80.8
ccm-manager redundant-host cucmsub
mgcp call-agent cucmpub 2427 service-type mgcp version 0.1

On Gateway add the following.
mgcp call-agent <Primary CUCM server IP> 2427 service-type mgcp version 0.1
ccm-manager redundant-host <Secondary CUCM Server IP>

On CUCM Make sure the following matches:

Gateway name:VG_SAN_FRAN_01.elvalle.com

Also the CM Group configured on the gateway has same primary and secondary as mentioned in the above configuration

After this is done do:

no mgcp

mgcp.

Hi Adarsh.

Thanks for your response. However after making the recommended changes the status is the same.

Any other recommended action will be appreciate.

Thanks.

can you please send me debug mgcp packet and call manager traces.

1) do no mgcp on gateway

2) run debug mgcp packet on gateway.

3) Click Reset on MGCP gateway on call manager.

4) run mgcp on gateway.

5) get the debugs.

6) collect traces from call manager.

link says to collect CTI Traces, ignore that.

Hi there

Have you configured any PRI controllers on this GW ? You can configure any endpoint/PRI on to this and connect with a loopback cable and see if the gateway is getting registered

Hope this Helps

Cheers
Rath!

Hello Ratheesh,

I will try this test with the FXO line. Actually i don´t have Pri available to test.

Thanks.

Hi Chrisitian,

You did not set the trace level to Detailed as it was pointed out in the Document.
however i still tried to have a look and the only discrepancy which i saw was gateway is sending name as: VG_SAN_FRAN_01.elvalle.com
however i believe in CUCM its in lower case: vg_san_fran_01.elvalle.com and may be thats why you are getting error code 500 instead of 200.
can you match that and try.
before trying please set traces to detailed.

Regards,
Adarsh Chauhan

Hello Adarsh,

In CallManager this is the Gateway name:

MGCPGW.PNG

And Trace Level on CUCM is in Detailed Mode:

TraceLevel.PNG

Attach you can find new cucm traces and debugs.

Please review and let me know your opinion.

Thanks.

Trace from CUCM

Hi Christian,

There is no such error or exception in traces.
So Ratheesh point might be correct here.
you might need to have an endpoint to register.

Keep us posted.

Adarsh Chauhan
