Jabber Click to Call

I have a 10.5 deployment (Pub/Sub + 1 IMP) and wanted to see about getting click to call from the browser or applications working properly.  Jabber for Windows is working and I'm able to click to call from within the jabber client if it's a contact, but if I'm on a website or have a phone number somewhere else how do i get the option to click to call?  I was on 11.9 but I had installed it w/ switches for testing so I uninstalled and went through the executable for 12.1, relaunched FireFox to test but didn't get any option when I highlight and right click on a number. If I launch Excel and prepend a number with tel: then it works as expected.  Is there something i need to enable w/in Jabber or is this not how click to call would work?

Thanks.  I had read that document and from what i understood I'd have to re-open FireFox and should've been prompted to install/allow the add-on, but I never was.  And when I tried to search for the Add-on directly in FireFox I didn't see it.  I restarted Chrome as well but didn't get prompted there either.

So since I don't use IE unless forced to hadn't tried it, but the option is available there to call with Jabber or Edit with Jabber, so the feature is enabled.  It just doesn't seem to be available across all apps?

Hi,

Were you able to do this ? please share how you did this

Hi there

Just curios to know what’s the issue you are facing. Below is the procedure for click to call across browsers

Click to Call from Google Chrome:-

Click to Call from the Google Chrome browser requires user input before it can be enabled. After users install and sign into Cisco Jabber, they must restart the Google Chrome browser. When the browser opens, a popup displays requesting users to allow installation of the "Jabber Call" extension. Users must allow the installation by clicking Enable Extension. The extension is installed and users can now make calls by highlighting and right-clicking on any phone number that is displayed in the browser.

If users do not have administrator privleges for their machine, they do not receive the popup requesting them to allow installation of the "Jabber Call" extension. In this case, users must contact their system administrator to install the extension.

Click to Call from Mozilla Firefox:-

Click to Call from the Mozilla Firefox browser requires user input before it can be enabled. After users install Cisco Jabber, they must restart the Firefox browser. When the browser opens, a popup displays requesting users to allow installation of the "JabberCallAddOn" add-on. Users must allow the installation by clicking Allow this installation and Continue. The add-on is installed and users can now make calls by highlighting and right-clicking on any phone number that is displayed in the browser.

Click to Call from Internet Explorer:-

Click to Call from the Internet Explorer browser does not require any user permissions or installations.

Hope this helps

Yea,Yeah, that's how its supposed  to work as far as I know. The users are full admins on the domain as well as local admins on their machines, but were never prompted in either IE or Chrome. It worked in firefox from what I recall however.
