Jabber first run via MRA

If a Jabber client is first started when outside the corporate LAN, the client reports "Cannot find your services"

Yet if the client is started inside the corporate LAN then moved outside Jabber works fine via MRA.

What do I need to do pre-prime the Jabber client so it can start outside the corporate LAN via MRA without having to come inside first? (I've tried copying across service-location.xml but that doesn't seem to be enough.)

There is MSI operations you can use to specify your server. This way you do not have to use the SRV record for jabber to find services.

EX:

Msiexec /I CiscoJabberSetup.msi TYPE=CUP ADDRESS=192.168.100.1 DOMAIN=contoso.com LANGUAGE=1033 /q
