Hi all,
is there a way so J4W is able to search for contacts in AD that are defined as "contact"-type ojects (not user objects).
I tried with a custom jabber-config.xml, with the following:
<Directory>
<BaseFilter>(&(objectCategory=person)(|(objectclass=user)(objectclass=contact)))</BaseFilter>
</Directory>
But no success ...
thx,
Juan

No one experienced this and knows how to fix?

Hi,
I am having the same problem.
Jabber 11.8
CUPS 11.5
CUCM 11.5
So far, I have these two parameters in my Jabber-config.xml
<BaseFilter>(&(|(objectclass=contact)(objectclass=user))(!(objectclass=Computer))(!(UserAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)))</BaseFilter>
<BDIBaseFilter>(&(|(objectclass=contact)(objectclass=user))(!(objectclass=Computer))(!(UserAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)))</BDIBaseFilter>
When I run wireshark on the PC with Jabber Client and do a search. I can see the client querying AD/LDAP the server returning the a result of the contact, but the client not returning the result.
I have attached a screenshot of the wireshark trace.
So I guess I missing something that client does not like to display the results.
Have you got any further?
