Which logs from which servers would be useful in viewing failed attempts to log in to Jabber?

I would start with generating a problem report from the Jabber client itself.

As @TomMar1 mentioned, you should start taking the logs from Jabber first and run it on CSA tool. You will get more informations.

- If it a on-prem Jabber,
Jabber Problem Report: you get almost every piece of information required to troubleshoot the issue from here itself.
Call Manager: Cisco Tomcat, Event viewer application and system logs
- if it MRA setup
Jabber problem report
Expressway E diagnostic logs
Expressway C diagnostic logs
Run the analysis of these logs on to Cisco C collaboration solutions analyser: https://cway.cisco.com/csa/
