Hi All,
I am trying to learn more about Cisco Jabber. I have deployed CUCM and Presence 10.5 with Jabber 11.5.
The user is configured in CUCM. I am trying to just login with CUCM without Cisco presence server.
1. It always says to enter in user@example.com. Is it mandatory? Can i just enter only by User ID only?
2. When i select CUCM 9 or later and enter the server IP details, Jabber gives error" No internet connection available", whereas my CUCM server is pingable from the machine on which Jabber is installed. If is select CUCM IM & Presence and enter the server details: it says username and password is incorrect(which probably means the server is reachable). So why does for Jabber for CUCM says Internet not available?
3. What is the role for CCMIP profile? Also i am not able to get any users in Cisco Presence?
Thanks
Himanshu

Yes, Jabber uses user@domain to find the SRVs to login, only after you have logged in, it will only require the password, as all the info will be cached.

You need to enable users for IM&P on CUCM to get them to show in the IM&P GUI.

Hi Jamie,
How do i configure Jabber for CUCM only without Presence.

Pretty much the same as if you had IM&P, create devices, associate user/device/line, UC service, service profile, etc. Have you already followed the documentation on how to configure Jabber?

Hi James,
I have configured the Jabber with IM&P server and its working fine. But if i shutdown the presence server and try to enter CUCM IP in advanced setting and try to login it doesnt work?
Thanks
Himanshu

Make sure you have the _cisco-uds SRV and have DNS resolution.
