I have manually installed Jabber using the msi file with some command line arguments like excluded services which I want to remove now. Tried rhe following but no luck:
- uninstalled Jabber
- Deleted APPDATA local and roaming profiles and temp files
- Tried installing from scratch
But still Jabber retains those settings. Is there anything I am missing in the process ?
Thanks
Rajan

Hi Alok,
Yes. I have used that option.
msiexec.exe /i CiscoJabberSetup.msi CLEAR=1
But still somehow it retains its settings even after uninstall, reboot, install and rebooting the system which is very weird.
Thanks

Maybe you need to use REGEDIT to remove any keys/data relating to Jabber from the Registry.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the pointer. I will check if anything remains in the registry.
Thanks

Hi Rajan,
I would follow this steps in the given order and see if this fixes it or not.
1) Logout of Jabber and click on Reset.
2) Exit from Jabber and clear Jabber cache Local/Roaming both from Appdata folder
3) Go to c:\ProgramData\CiscoSystems and delete Jabber folder
4) Reboot the system
5) Re-install with CLEAR=1 switch
Note: Make sure that when you reboot the system, Jabber is not set for "automatically launch on system boot". If yes, then disable that as well.
Regards,
Alok
