Movi Jabber Installation

Hi all,

I want to test the new Movi Jabber in my machine with Windows7. Everything is ok during the installation, the problem start when I try to launch the client, the application show me an error message about the video drivers. the error message is: "New features in this version of Movi are not supported by your computer's graphics driver. Update to the newest graphics driver available and run Movi again." then show me another message: "supportabilitytest.exe has stopped working".

To fix this, I run the "windows update" and I can not found any new driver for my notebook (HP Pavilion dv4 Intel(R) Core(TM) i3).

Anybody can help me to fix this??

Thank you in advance.

Juan

Friend,

Go to HP support website and try to find there the latest driver version to your graphic card.

Paulo,

Thank you for your answer, but I did it and HP doesn't have a new one... In fact I went to Intel web site to check too, but all the driver found doesn't run in my machine...

Thank you again

Juan

Friend,

Do you have OpenGL version 1.2 or higher installed on your computer?

If you have it already installed, so I suggest you to install another version of Cisco Movi, maybe previous version of the software, because from 4.2 to 4.3 many things have changed.

I've got exactly the same issue. Are there any system requirements a PC has to fulfill for release 4.3? Haven't found any within the release notes.

It's a pitty that the error message is so inexpressively. Are there at least any log files / debug files that can be checked?

We've gone through this entire ordeal for the past few weeks in preparation for an enterprise-wide deployment.

Requirements for Movi 4.2 and Jabber 4.3 are almost identical.  I opened a TAC case and was told this is being seen by Cisco with users of some HPs, Fujitsus, and a few other devices.  The framework has changed a bit between 4.2 and 4.3, but they're virtually the same software.  Cisco has not come out and said there's an official issue yet.

Just FYI, for any Intel HD Graphics card, look at the driver version.  In your info above, yours shows:
Driver Version: 8.15.10.1986
Our testing has shown the build of the driver file for Intel HD Graphics has to be a minimum build of 2279.  The other numbers in the version # mean other things (i.e. "8" is Win7, "15" is the version of DirectX I think, etc.  For this purpose, we're mainly worried about the last 4 digits and of course that they're compatible with your OS.).

What we've had to do on machines in our environment is uninstall the drivers but check the box that says to delete the driver files.  Once that process is complete, see if you can do another Windows Update.  If the drivers that are downloaded aren't any better, or aren't a better build than 8.15.10.2279, you will have to manually download compatible drivers from Intel's site.

Good luck!

I've got the same issue.  I'm on a Lenovo T410S with an Intel Graphics HD (Core i5), version 6.14.10.5200 and just went through Intel's automatic update process.  I still am getting the same error.

Finally I have it running on my Lenovo W500. It's a question off the chipset which is in use, controlled through the BIOS settings. The W500 notebook comes with two grafic card chipsets on board. The "ATI Mobility FireGL V5700" and the "Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family" for power saving. If I configure my BIOS to use only the Intel card it doesn't work. If I configure it to go for the ATI chipset it works fine.

I guess that the Intel Chipset misses the required features for Movi, but the ATI has it all. Change the BIOS, update the drivers of the other grafic card and it should work.
