New Movi accounts won't load phonebook

Hello

Recently any new movi account created (locally, not using AD) are not receiving any phonebook entries although old existing accounts are still being updated with the new accounts. Running TMS 13.2.1 and VCS X7.2

I've tried forcing a refresh on the phonebooks, checked the status and all seems fine.

Any info or pointers i could look at?

Thanks

Hi Barry,

Have you provisioned the configuration “Phone Book Server URI “ to the new accounts? Please note that this configuration always should be “phonebook@domain” e.g. phonebook@cisco.com.

Are the users using the exact same templates as the working users (same folder, and no overriding of configurations)? What’s the difference between the working and not working accounts (old vs new)?

Is the Provisioning phonebook (TMS > Phone books > Manage Phone books) showing correct/expected values (view contacts).

Are you using TMSPE or TMSAgent legacy solution? If you are using the TMSAgent solution and all configurations are correct, it could be that the OpenDS database needs to be re-indexed. You can check this on the TMSAgent diagnostics page.

As I don't know which solution you have deployed (TMEPE vs TMSAgent legacy), I cannot guide you to a specified document, but you will find all provisioning related documents here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11338/tsd_products_support_series_home.html

TMSAgent Legacy deployment guide: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/tms/config_guide/Cisco_TMS_Agent_Legacy_Provisioning_Guide_13-2.pdf

TMS Provisioning Extension deployment guide: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/tmspe/install_guide/Cisco_TMSPE_Deployment_Guide_1-0.pdf

Hope this helps,

Arne

Hi Barry,

Also adding to Arne's response, if you are using TMS PE, check the value of the Phone book polling interval on the VCS under System > TMS Provisioning Extension services - As it could be that the new users are not authorised to view the phonebooks until the next til this is polled (default is 1 day and lowest it can be set to is 1 hour)

You can also press the "Check for Updates" button at the bottom of the page to get any updates straight away, which would include allowing new accounts authorisation to be able to access the phonebooks

Thanks,

Guy
