Part nos for Cisco Unified Applications

Hello everyone,

I have a client who has requested for a quote to deploy voice services in his firm. I am recommending cisco collaboration applications because i know how to deploy some of them and also am using them. I am having challenges to know the part nos for the apps.

Equally ,i understand that the BE6000 c220 hardware server contains unified applications. I want to ask if one needs  to purchase license for each app that comes with the BE6000 or to buy swss and get all the licenses.

I have attached an excel file for someone to help add the necessary parts nos as well as description. I plan to deploy

expressway series, webex meeting server (video conference calls),contact center and video calls. I would equally like  to link the call manager to GSM network.

thanks in anticipation

These forums are intended to provide post-sales technical support. I suggest asking your Cisco partner/channel team, the customer’s AM, or partner helpline for support here.

Ordering guides are posted here:

PS- Seriously consider a Collaborations Flex plan subscription instead of perpetual licenses with SWSS; this is the direction Cisco is moving.

PPS- Don’t sell CWMS; that prduct exists solely for legacy installations that can’t use CMS or Webex Meetings for some corner-case reason. You will be doing your customer a disservice by pushing this product.

Hello Jonathan,Thank you for your response.Actually,i am using cisco Telepresnce conductor and Telepresence on virtual machines .which product has replaced the two? I was told cms last year. Now am reading cisco webex meeting server.which one is recommended for online video conference meetings?

The on-premise replacement is Cisco Meetings Server (CMS). CWMS is an older fork of Webex.

Strongly consider doing cloud registration of the TelePresence endpoints with Cloud CMR as part of Webex instead of an on-premise product though.

Thanks for the quick response.can jabber users join cms from their jabber client?

Cloud deployment is really good. We are facing internet challenges in my firm.In my country, people are solely depended on the 'pay as you go' data subcription which gives them 1G-22G just to check their emails. For almost year now ,we have not had internet access. As the cisco guy in the company,i plan for on premises deployment .whatever,i want to depoly ,i put on premises first.wheneve internet is up,people can reach us via expressway series .

Yes, Jabber can call into a CMS meeting. Just be prepared; CMS is a bit involved to setup since you need to do most of the configuration from CLI and by making REST API calls. It might be worth trying in a dCloud lab or contracting someone who has done it before to assist.

But why do you consider cisco webex as a disservice to customers? Is it because its old? Do we have hardware versions of cms ? I have come across ,cisco meeting server 1000

CWMS was a fork off of Webex 31 and the features have not kept pace since then. It’s old, getting older, and the little feature development it’s getting is focused around security patches.

Ok.thanks.which version of cms do you recommend for a new deployemnt ?Assum
the rack server is m4 220

Hi,
I have gotten the cisco meeting server.the mmp commands are just funny.still working on the installation. Just to inform you

This is why i want to deploy webex on premises
