UCM 12.5 - Error on upload of wav file for ( Announcement )

Hello, just upgraded to UCM 12.5 from 11.6 ( the wav file that worked fine on my 11.6 ) doesn't work ( allow me to upload )

Getting the error ( The .wav file could not be translated by the Audio Translator Application.)

A few versions back there was a bug with permissions on the folder... ?!  Format of the wave file  (• 16-bit PCM )  standard.. but as mentioned same file thats used in my UCM 11.6

Any suggestions?

Hi there

Seems to be you are hitting the same bug. But the 12.X can’t be find either in affected or fixed. Better to open up TAC and get it fixed.

Unable to upload custom announcement wav file

Description
Symptom:
Unable to upload custom announcement or MoH files
You will receive following error:
"The .wav file could not be translated by the Audio Translator Application"

Conditions:
Upgrading from 9.x with one or more custom announcements installed before upgrade.
After upgrade will not be able to upload new custom announcement wav files.
The problem could occur with Fresh Installs as well.

Workaround:
Directory permissions must be set to 754 by TAC using remote console access to each server in cluster.

Further Problem Description:
Upgrading without having any custom announcements prior to the upgrade will allow uploading custom announcements after the upgrade since no previous files and directories are migrated from previous CUCM version.

demo servers have demo licenses and are entitled to tac support; you might be referring to the grace period.

I managed to get it resolved with help of Cisco TAC on UCM12.5

Changing mode to Permissive solved my issue
