Using Cutom tabs in Cisco Jabber to access Finesse web app

Hello all,
Currently using CUCM v14, CCX v12 and Jabber 15

Wanting to see if anybody has used custom tabs in Jabber to access the Finesse web app rather than running the Finesse in a separate web browser.

Why?  We receive reports from Finesse web app users reporting disconnects. I've followed the guidance in other posts on this forum to reduce this by settings unique settings in Chrome / Edge / FireFox and , via tech support , timeout values have been update on our instance of CCX.    Being able to access the Finesse Web app within the Jabber app seems to me to be a good place for it to sit

thanks

This is a bad idea and will in no way improve whatever network instability is causing the disconnects. For starters, Finesse is not a fully responsive web app (minimum size is 1366 x 768); it was not designed to operate in the small window size of the Jabber hub window. At one point 2Ring had offered a Compact Agent product to make this more practical but they have announced end of life for it. It's also unclear that TAC would support this since Jabber uses Chromium Embedded and Safari Webkit. The former is questionable - the BU tested Edge, not technically Chromium - and the latter clearly isn't supported.

Focus on whatever your network instability issue is.
