Webex Teams Hybrid Calling and Calendar

We have a hybrid Webex Teams environment with hybrid calling, hybrid google calendar and also hybrid exchange calendar. The issue we are having is that all our Google accounts are fixed as our company ID@domain.com. In our companies main identity management system our users are allowed to change their primary email address as well as add additional alias email addresses. All emails are routed through our on premise mail handlers. LDAP is pulling what the user has set for their primary email address. The problem is that for the google calendar integration to work correctly in the Webex Teams App the Webex teams account has to match the google account, however if they have their primary email address set to any other then their google email the hybrid calling will break. In CUCM there is no way to map “mail” to a custom attribute sync’d in from LDAP.  Therefore, it is necessary for any users of this application to have their primary email match their Webex Teams account.  Failure to do so will break WebEx Teams Hybrid Calling. For everything to work correctly they must set everything to the google address format. Is there any other options or are we missing something. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Not unless you want to add some sort of additional system between your LDAP source and your syncing. I’ve been dealing with this as well for a similar reason that our org does not understand the directory’s usage and they do this to data fields. It’s not easily fixed unless you want to become data curator and maintain scripting or some sort of weird LDAP proxy or alternative data source.

Thanks Adam!

Yeah it’s rough when the business won’t use the tech right . Not much to be done here as the Webex sync uses AD or AD LDS - so scripts for the UCM won’t help. Setting up a public facing or preferred directory elsewhere is an option.
