Hi Folks,
We've just had a bit of a drama where an upgrade of Jabber with CUPS has made the Jabber software look at the "telephone number" directory property instead of the previous "IP phone" property. In our directory, telephone number is the long number with area code and IP phone is the four digit short dial extension. This has caused havoc, as well as the communications cost associated with going to the PSTN to call the next desk, inter-office phone calls are showing as the outbound number of that office instead of the extension of the agent. In "settings for legacy clients" in CUPS there is a drop down to specify what property to use, where has that gone for 9.x?

Hi there ,
Can you please provide the following :
-Presence version
-CUCM Version
-Jabber Version
Please note jabber version 8.x is configured in the CCMCIP profile on the presence server (Settings for legacy clients) , version 9.X now looks for the jabber-config.xml file that lives on the CUCM tftp server and completely ignores the CCMCIP profile.
i would use the below link and it can help you generate the jabber-config.xml easily for all 9 versions and has the "Business phone" field that you can change to "ipPhone", then upload this once completed to CUCM's tftp server , restart tftp service and the Jabber clients and test.

Hope to help

Jabber version varies between 9.2 and 9.6, CUCM is 9, presence is 9.1, but I'm not sure any of this matters.
What in the config file specifies the number to dial with click to call?
Directory> <BusinessPhone>THIS THING HERE?</BusinessPhone> </Directory>
