Windows 7 PC not decreasing the volume of media streaming when we are getting Jabber call.

Here is a typical scenario:

•     Test: Listen to audio from a web server , such as YouTube or windows media player.
•     Start a Jabber call: Audio from the web server not going down.

as a work around we executed following steps on windows PC.

•     Right-click the Audio icon in the bottom-right corner of the task-bar.
•     Choose Playback devices in the drop-down list, and click the Communications tab in the popup window.
•     Click the Mute all other sounds radio button in order.

But still we are experiencing the issue.

We too have same issue.. Tried all the options but the media sound never get reduced.

Using Jabber 10.6.4 / Windows 7

Tried with CIPC , still the same. Media sound never gets decreased.

If using the same headset to listen to music and answer a call Jabber should respect the windows communications device setting of lowering the volume by the specified amount e.g. 70%

Bug as per Cisco TAC , pending with developers.Push thro your account team to get the solution

This seems to be bug as per TAC

its with developers , need to push from your cisco account team .

As per TAC , this is related to enhancement bug CSCuj62501    Support for audio ducking in jabber windows” this feature is not supported yet in jabber.

We need to push account team to have developers to fix. This bug is for all Jabber 9.x , 10.x versions.
