Question

Hi Team,

I just need to confirm if we change NTP servers on UCCX, will it affect the license on UCCX 12.0 ?

Do we need to re-host after updating NTP?

Already done on CUCM and CUC , and it didn't affect but not sure for CCX.

Thank you

Thank you Mark, for taking the time to reply.

So once we change the NTP, we need to request a new license file from based on new license mac ?

That's correct. You need to rehost your license. The License MAC is going to regenerate if you enable (configure), modify or delete the following system settings; - Time zone - NTP server 1 (or none) - NIC speed (or auto) - Hostname - IP Address - IP Mask - Gateway Address - Primary DNS - SMTP server - Certificate Information (Organization, Unit, Location, State, Country) The License MAC will be regenerated for each change, if applicable, make all of your changes prior to contacting Cisco. UCCX is going to automatically generate a temporary (30 day) license so you can remain operational while you rehost your license.

Or you could enter all the info here and it will generate the license MAC based on what you enter.
