When we call out from our Ip phones the called party sees the extention number. I would rather they see the main bussiness number. How can I fix this? CCM 4.0 Thanks in advance

Hello,

Go to the callmanager gateway page and under the outbound calls there is something know as "caller id".Put the main number under this and you should be good. Please note that you need to reset the gateway after this .So you have to do after hours.

Thanks,

Radhika

I will try it. Many Thanks

OK that worked but I show the 10 digit number for interal calls. How do adjust it so that it only shows the extention number for internal and 10 digit for outside calls?

Hello,

There is no way that 10 digit number appears when the calls are made internally unless under "display internal caller id " is programmed for this. The caller ID will be 10 digit only if the call goes through the gateway. Please go to phone page and under line configuration make sure display internal caller id is not set to 10 digit number.

Thanks,

Radhika

Yes, Thanks for the response.

It is going trough a gateway, an Avaya G3 gateway. This CCM is intergated with an Avaya G3 Via PRI for ext to ext calling and it uses the G3 as a gateway to the outside. Would that explain it?

Ok .This makes sense. If you want this then don't program the 10 digit caller id under gateway page.

Go to route pattern under callmanager and under route pattern for outside calls program 10 digits under "Calling Party Transform Mask "

and for route pattern under extn to extn don't use anything. This should take care of it.

Thanks,

Radhika

Thank you, I will try it and let you know.

It worked, many thanks

When calling extentions between the Avaya and the CCM the CCM sends the 10 digit number as apposed to the 5 digit extension. I would like it to display extension numbers for extension calls and 10 digits for outside calls.
