Hi All
I am having trouble with IPCC express codec negotiation, it always uses G729. I have tried everything I can think of to change this in Call Manager to G711. I can see that the codec used under system parameters is G729, does that mean that it will only use G729.
I have configured the CTI ports in a region that uses G711. Is there a way of changing this codec, a re-install is a possibility but I would like to know it is going to work first.
Any assistance will be greatly received
Regards
Martin

Martin,
IPCC Express will only work with one codec and it can only be selected at install time. If it indicates it is set to G.729, a reinstall would be required to use G.711. However, you can always use transcoders to translate between the two if you have hard requirements on one side or the other that are in conflict.
Hope this helps,
Jim

Many thanks Jim, I think I must have selected to install G729 accidentally then!
