In a CICM Complex, how are ports handled for multiple colocated installations of the same componant for multiple instances? Say for example I have a four loggers installed on the same machine, serving four different customer instances, how are ports determined and mapped for each process associated to the logger componant of each instance?

Also, how is security implemented between customer instances? For example all central controller componants are installed in the service provider environment and the PGs and associated peripherals are located on the customer premices.

Short answer - each instance number raised the port index by a value of forty.

i.e. instance zero for a process might use 40005

Instance one would use 40045

Instance two would use 40085

etc...
