We are needing to upgrade our CUCM from 6.1.3 to 8.0(3a) and i am pretty sure we need to update our UCCX server as well or these will not communicate anymore. Our UCCX is 7.0(1) SR3 and from what i can find on the solution sheet, i need to upgrade our UCCX to 7.0(1) SR5. Is this correct? Do i need to perform the UCCX upgrade before fooling with CUCM, or after?

Hi,
From the document I looked at, it may require you to go to UCCX 8.5.1 to be compatible with CUCM 8.0.3a. Check out page 40 of the pdf.
I would update CUCM first as UCCX will probably sync whatever JTAPI version it needs from CUCM.

Ok, it's starting to make a bit more sense. I think it will probably be a better idea to go to UCM7. Is this something i can contact TAC about for assistance?

Yes, tac should be able to help and point you to docs for assistance.
You can also contact your Cisco Account team or your supplier should have a SE that can help.

Hope it helps!

Thanks, i will give them a call. The scope of TAC has never been explained to me, AT&T kind of just dropped this stuff in and said "if something breaks, call this number, kthx."
