Copy customer input to windows clipboard in UCCX

Hi,

We got a customer with an Cisco UCCX 12.0

When their customers dial in, they are prompted to input their ID number.

This ID number should then be copied to Windows clipboard, so they can copy (CTRL+V) to other programs.

They don't have a standard browser, but use both Chrome, Firefox and IE

How can we achieve this?

Thank you in advance.

Allan

Allan,

This is easy to do.

1) Create a Call Variable Layout (not an absolute requirement), which shows Call variable 1 and name this value "Account Number - so that is what the agent see"

2) Capture the Customer Account Number

3) Set the Account Number to Call Variable 1 (or alternative)

When the agent receives the call - they should see and be able to copy and paste the Account Number from Finesse.

Regards,

Gerry

Gerry,
Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I already have a call variable and can see the ID number in Finesse, when the call comes in.
Sorry I should have mentioned that.
The customer would like to have the number automatically copied to the clipboard, so they don't have to mark and copy and then paste.
They receive a lot of calls and it's important that the calls are handled quickly.

Allan

Allan,

This is not something Finesse / UCCX would do.
But there still might be a technical solution ...
A possible existing third party application - you would have to google.
or creating a custom Finesse Gadget.

I believe to get access to the clipboard from each browser is different (and might not be possible on all browsers).
So the gadget would have to check which browser IE / Firefox / Chrome and then use the implementation that works with that specific browser.

A google found the following links which might be helpful:

Gerry;

Thank you.
I'm gonna take a look at that.
I didn't really expected Finesse/UCCX to do it, though it would have been nice.
