Hi all,
Has anyone come across a problem installing CUIC on an IBM flavour MCS server?
The error message from the installer is "MMCA installation failed. RPM returned 4"
Any help or advice, no matter how small would be very much appreciated!
Many thanks

You can, to the best of my knowledge, not instal minor releases like 8.0(4) from scratch.
I think the exception to this may be 8.0(3) on UCS as that was a new addition.
The DVD may not stop you from trying, but it doesn't necessarily contain all hardware profiles etc..

Hello,
Are you sure that the server is exactly met the MCS specs ?
Not just cpu and ram , even the Raid controller ?

I hope so Amer, we bought it from Cisco direct as an authentic MCS.
My engineer has just found that if you install 8_0_1 it works fine so mabybe a problem with the 8_0_4 installer on these IBMs.
I hope these can upgraded easily!

Hello,
Then what you can do is :
Install 8.0(1) and upgrade to 8.0(4) i had already did it before like one week.

Thanks Kris, I'll make sure Ian gets the info. Not sure why Maria at TAC hasn't mentioned this yet!
Appreciate the assistance as always.
Cheers
