CUIC role/permission on editing a report

Hi All,

Good Day. I would like to ask on how to give permission on the users so that they can also edit a report on the CUIC? We would like to give this kind of permission or role to the supervisors. If we give them this kind of permission, do they also get an admin role wherein they can also access the UCCX as administrator? or We can filter it in a way that they can only make a customize report or edit a report on CUIC?

There is no way you can give permissions to a supervisor so that they can edit a report directly. The only way to work around this is that the super user creates a copy of the report and then check the Write and Execute checkbox while saving the report, after this supervisor then can login into CUIC with their credentials and make the required changes by going into Edit Views.

As mentioned above there is no permission you an give to supervisor so that they can directly create a copy of the report and then make the required changes. As far as giving admin rights is concerned, then go to CCX Administration >> Tools >> User Management >> Administrator Capability View and move the required user from Available Users to the Cisco Unified CCX Administrator side.

Supervisors cannot make a customize report but if the super user creates a copy of the report and then select the Write and Execute box while saving the newly created report then supervisor can make changes to that particular report.

In CUIC Security -> User Permission -> Assigned User Permission you can select the needed report or report category that alone should be edited by a particular user.

Under Permission For tab, there will be drop down containing all the Data Sources,Report Definitions, Reports, Dashboards and ValueList. You can select the report what ever you want and assign it to any user by selecting User Name under User List check box.

If you do so, it will not give admin previlage rather it will give the user to edit the particular report only.

Actually, I already tried exploring that options on CUIC but still users/supervisors that I gave permission still cannot edit or customize a report.
