CVP - Media files - maximum audio file size

hello guys, do you know if CVP media server has a limitation of size to the audio media file.?

Hi,

you need to set a timeout in the Network VRU Script (Configuration Manager=> Targets =>Network VRU Script List) which is greater than the maximum length of your announcement/prompt.

For one customer we have build some kind of podcast for internal users which has length of approx 45mins. So we have set the timeout to 3600 seconds.

For longer announcements the better way might be to configure a different variable to avoid problems with faulty announcements not played. If this is the case, the sript will wait until the timeout has reached.

In the Help for this there is no limit described.

You will also want to think about the caching of the file so that you're not streaming it and consuming bandwidth. How big of file sizes are you looking at/considering?
