Disk memory usage in CUIC 8.0

Hi all,

Today we have upgraded CUIC 8.0.1 to CUIC 8.0.3 Standard Edition. Just after upgrade I issued the CLI command "show status" and got the following result:

Disk/active         71512568K       58987712K       11798320K (17%)
Disk/inactive       71512536K       59078848K       11707152K (17%)
Disk/logging       288332800K     199155348K     74530996K (28%)

Is there anybody who can explain why the used disk space in the partition Disk/logging is so big?

Another question: How can we clean up the partition Disk/logging?

Please note the system is not used by users so far.

Hey Nikolay,

The appliance model works quite different from what you may expect. The logging partition contents will continue to grow until it reaches about 98% disk usage, at which point automatic clean-up processes will start to run to delete the oldest logfiles. There's nothing you have to do to clean it up. The idea there being that we want to try and keep as much logs as possible.
