DTMF not working from within network

Maliksvoice
Level 1
Level 1

HI Everyone,

Scenario.

I have an IVR with a simple menu.

Press 1 for Tech support.

When calling from my IP phone within the network, i press 1 the tone is not recognized and the script does not proceed further.

It works perfectly when i try to call from mobiles or Jabber.

What could be the issue?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated,

Could be a transcoding or MTP issue. When you establish your call to UCCX check your phone web page for Stream 1 and see two things:
1) The ip address you are connected to (is it UCCX or something else, like CUCM or an IOS device?)
2) The codec (is it g711ulaw or something else?)

I checked stream 1 on the web page for the phone during a call.

1. It is connecting to my UCCX.

2.It is using code g711u as sender codec.

Where do i check for MTP and transcoding issues?

The IP address would not have been that of UCCX if a media resource was involved. So, a phone should be able to do Out of Band (OOB) DTMF which would be required by UCCX. What model phone? What signaling protocol?
