Enable Openfire debug to check XMPP authorisation error : CUCM 12.5

Hi,

I'm having the same issue as described in xmpp-authorization-error-when-connecting-to-finesse  with our in house PBX.

I want to see the debug logs for openfire server.

With "Cisco Finesse Administration Guide Release 11.6(1)" we had the command "utils finesse notification logging enable" for enabling the debug logs.
What is the command for enabling the debug logs for openfire for 12.5 since I don't see anything in "Cisco Finesse Administration Guide, Release 12.5(1)" ?

We are using below versions:

CUCM detail and version          12.5.1.15900-66 [12.5(1)SU5]
Instant Messaging & Presence  12.5.1.11900-117

By default the debug.log file for openfire seems empty.

I was able to get the debug logs using the command from Cisco Finesse Administration Guide, Release 12.6(1)

Hi,

In 12.5, the CLI is the same, "utils finesse notification logging enable".

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/finesse/finesse_1251/admin/guide/cfin_b_1251-administration-guide/cfin_b_1251-administration-guide_chapter_01100.html#reference_831B17E4D0DEFC6C8CAE0DDF0B340D41

I just tested this out on a PCCE 12.5 system and the debug.log file size went from blank (0KB) when it was disabled to having content (> 0KB) within seconds of using the CLI to enable logs.

Thanx,

Denise

Hi Denise,

I tried the command "utils finesse notification logging enable" on my DevNet sandbox for Unified Contact Center Express 12.5-SU1  but it did not work. It turns out that the command from Cisco Finesse Administration Guide, Release 12.6(1)  works for 12.5. I used the update config command and now I can see openfire set to DEBUG level. I'll try the same on our PBX.

Hi,

What version/deployment of Finesse are you on? I had made the assumption that you were on a CCE deployment. Were you successful in turning on debugging on your system using the above CLI?

Thanx,

Denise
