Finesse inside a .net desktop application

Hi to all, does anyone know if finesse can be used in a desktop application built with .NET c# ?

I think I can use HTTP Rest API interface to call some methods but my doubt is for subscriptions to Finesse node for notification (call status changing).

Is the only alternative Express CTI ?

yes you may call the REST APIs.

Also, there is a non-gadget sample that shows how to log in, and call the APIs.
