Finesse IP Phone Agent 404 host not found

I am trying to setup Finesse one button login from an MRA phone.  Right now I am getting 404 host not found on the phone screen and logs on phone show this:

6389 NOT Nov 19 15:14:48.352944 (14716-15382) edge_gateway-convertServerAndPort: NO-OP - Server mapping doesn't exist for: ccx1.mydomain.com
6390 NOT Nov 19 15:14:48.353006 (14716-15382) edge_gateway-getEdgeRequestLineValue: base64(mydomain.com/http/ccx1.mydomain.com/8082)

I have TCP/8082 open to the outside and tests using a browser appear to work.  I think my next step is to install a trusted cert on the Finesse server but I am not sure if that's going to fix the issue because the Finesse documentation always references Finesse over VPN.

So the question is: should I try the cert or am I wasting my time without VPN?

Thanks,

Diego

Sir, Finesse over VPN is in pipeline and is expected to be released as a feature in 12.5SU2 UCCX Version.

For your scenario, installing certs won't help you.

Hi,

The doc says that:

If Unified CCX uses MRA, consider these points:

  • The connection between the Cisco Finesse client and server is over a VPN, not over the MRA connection.

@Anupam_Dewedi, I imagine you meant to say "over *no* VPN" as current status is that it does need VPN.  Just to satisfy my curiosity I pulled FIPPA logs from UCCX and I clearly saw the UCCX server trying to connect back to the phone using the phone's NATed public IP which obviously won't work.

Thank you
