Dear All,

I have recently completed the installation of UCCX 11.0. Post installation, I'm unable to launch https://<uccx ip address>:8445/cfadmin. I'm new to Finesse. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Are you able to open Finesse desktop using below command:

https://<UCCX FQDN>:8445/desktop/

Ideally when you should open the Finesse administration or desktop for the first time, you should get the Certificate Warning. Are you getting them, which browser you are trying there, try to change and then check

Also did you try restarting "Cisco Finesse Tomcat" and "Cisco Unified CCX Notification" service. Post the screenshot of your license information from:

Gunjan,

Have you activated Finesse using the below command from CLI followed by server restart. Ideally it should be activated but still check

utils uccx finesse activate

If it is already activated, then post the output of below command:

utils service list

Try to use the FQDN instead of IP Address . What is the error message you are getting there

Regards

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

I don't have an option to enter the utils uccx finesse activate command.

Also the finesse tomcat service is running. I have attached the relevant screen shots.

Thanks,

Gunjan Jain

My bad you are running version 11. Yes the command will not be there as this version onwards we only support Finesse and no CAD. Is the page not loading up or there is any error message you are getting.

Ideally when you will try to open the Finesse using https://<uccx ip address>:8445/cfadmin, the page will automatically redirect to:

https://<UCCX FQDN>:8445/cfadmin

Are you able to open the UCCX webpage using FQDN or not. If not, then the problem lies within your DNS configuration

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for your prompt response. I tried nslookup from my machine. I'm able to resolve the hostname as well as the ip address. I'm able to launch UCCX Admin using the IP as well as hostname. But when I navigate to Cisco Finesse Administration "This page can't be displayed error."

Regards,

Gunjan Jain

Gunjan,

There is a difference between hostname and FQDN. Are you trying through FQDN or hostname. Run below command to check the FQDN of your UCCX server and then try opening the UCCX webpage using it

show tech network hosts

Output from my lab:

admin:show tech network hosts
 -------------------- show platform network --------------------

 /etc/hosts File:
#This file was generated by the /etc/hosts cluster manager.
#It is automatically updated as nodes are added, changed, removed from the cluster.

127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost
10.197.178.25 uccxsub.pdihd.lab uccxsub
10.197.178.29 uccx1061.pdihd.lab uccx1061

In the above output, uccx1061 and uccxsub are the host names and uccx1061.pdihd.lab & uccxsub.pdihd.lab FQDN respectively.

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

I'm sorry, I mentioned hostname instead of FQDN in my previous comment. Yes, I've been trying with the FQDN as shown in the below output from UCCX CLI.

172.25.164.130 uccx1.corp.poc.com uccx1

I'm only able to access UCCX, not Finesse using the IP as well as FQDN.

Thanks,

Gunjan
