Hostname referred from ICM script - error.semantic

IOS - c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M1.bin

ICM 7.5

CVP 7.0(2)

We have the following configuration on the gateway:

VG 1 Config:

                vxml-server x.x.x.x

                vxml-server-backup y.y.y.y

VG 2 Config:

                vxml-server:  x.x.x.x

                vxml-server-backup y.y.y.y

On the ICM Script for the URL we have given the hostname in the script and we are getting error.semantic. I have also attached the screen shot for the same. The same script works when we change the hostname to IP address and I am not sure why this is happening but this is very critical for us to resolve this.

Thanks!

Hi Sethu,

Have you tried using the hostnames with any dashes (-)? If not, can you try that see if you still get errors?

thanks,

Hitesh

Hitesh,

Thanks for your reply. The config contains hostname with dashes already. Do you want us to remove the dashes and try again? Please confirm.

Thanks!

-Sethu

Yes, if possible, try removing dashes from the hostnames and try it.

thanks,

Hitesh

Hitesh,

The issue is resolved. In the CVP application, we were referring external VXML files reference using IP address.

Test Results

·         Hostname in ICM Script and Hostname [vxml-server] in G/W VXML file – Works fine

·         IP in ICM Script and IP [10.62.64.82] in VXML file – Works fine

·         IP in ICM Script and Hostname in G/W VXML File – error.semantic

·         Hostname in ICM Script and IP in G/W VXML file – error.semantic

Inference – Both ICM Script and external VXML file can either have hostname / IP address and not both together in the same call.

Thanks!

-Sethu
