how to integrate finesse notification functions into my own windows based application?

I'm going to integrate Finesse into my own windows based application which developed by Microsoft Visual Base 6.

I can use XMLHTTP to pull message through the Finesse API, it's easy.

But, how to receive notification messages from Finesse notification service.

How to connect to a XMPP server by using VB coding?

Is there any documents or guides?

I am not familiar with VB coding, but here is a list of XMPP libraries: http://xmpp.org/software/libraries.html I see a couple of libraries that work for .net. Does that work?
